Eva Calvo holds a Degree in Medicine from the UAB and a Masters in Social Cognitive Therapy at the UB. Over the next three years, she will be working with Dr. Casas’ group at VHIR and with the team devoted to Genomics and Disease, headed by Dr. Xavier Estivill at CRG.

Juan Miguel Cejalvo (Valencia, 1984), an oncologist trained at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, has been selected to do his thesis at IRB Barcelona under the PhD for Medical Doctors (PhD4MD) programme. He has already joined Roger Gomis’ Growth Control and Cancer Metastasis group, where he will perform the basic research for his project. Aleix Prat, from IDIBAPS, will lead the clinical part.

After his residency at the University Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol (ICO-Badalona), Alberto Indacochea  joined the PhD4MD Programme. He is now working at Dr Fatima Gebauer (CRG) and Dr Matilde Lleonart (VHIR) groups. His project addresses RNA-binding proteins as possible biomarkers for cancer progression.
